In the summer of 2003, Native American shamans will meet with Siberian shamans to exchange traditional rituals and ceremonies, and perform a joined ceremony at the gateway to the parallel world.
Galina will share her vision of restoring a spiritual bridge between native cultures of North America and of Siberia.
In the summer of 2003, Native American shamans will meet Siberian shamans to exchange traditional rituals and ceremonies. They will perform a joined ceremony at the gateway to the parallel world.
After a powerful shamanic experience with a 160-year old shamanic staff Galina Vladi was called by the spirits to return to Siberia to restore a spiritual connection with her homeland. She journeyed to the magical Alhanai region where she met with Siberian and Mongolian shamans, and where she observed a traditional ONGON ceremony. In the mountains of Alhanai Galina performed her own shamanic ceremony to meet the Spirits of the Mountains. She was guided by the spirits to the mystical place Podkova, which is recognized by the shamans as the gate to the parallel world. Since her return back to USA, Galina has been working on organizing the Gathering of Shamans, which will take place in the Mountains of Alhanai in the summer of 2003.
In April this year Galina will come to Europe to raise awareness of the Gathering of the Shamans. During Galina's presentation the audiences will hear about a revival of shamanism in Siberia, and observe a demonstration of an ancient Siberian healing technique with a shamanic disk toli. Also Galina will share her vision of restoring a spiritual bridge between native cultures of North America and Siberia and address an environmental issue of the Siberian forest and the land of Mountains Alhanai. The virgin forests of the Taiga are presently under threat from big style logging by Chinese companies. Galina will also read extracts from her new story "Teachings of the Great Eagle", and from her Siberian Tale "Dreams and Reality. A Siberian Summer with Shamans and the Mountains Spirits" (published in the Kindred Spirit Magazine in the last summer issue). Everyone who receives Siberia's call will be welcome to join the expedition in July. The group will include North American shamans and other healers.
